IMPROVE YOUR PERFORMANCE & RESULTS
How Intense is Too Intense?
At Streamline CrossFit we are excited to bring you the latest and greatest technology as a tool to help you train efficiently and effectively. We will have real-time group monitoring of heart rate sensors and cardio training. The scope of the apps will make people aware of their fitness performance and to train more effectively when real-time intensity feedback is given.
With this app our coaches can monitor our athletes and train people according to their fitness intensity zones. Using Heart Rate Monitors, at the start of the session the application will gather data from sensors in proximity. The heart rates will also be projected in a external larger screen for you to see and get immediate feedback on the intensity you are using.
Heart rate variability (HRV) is another measurement we can use to help members track their stress levels and fully benefit from training, recovery and rest days. A person’s HRV ‘score’ is the variation of beat to beat intervals, also known as R-R intervals, and these fluctuations of heart rate around an average heart rate is an indicator aerobic fitness. Other factors that affect HRV are age, genetics, body position, time of day, and health status. HRV also decreases during periods of mental stress. By getting a recording each morning, a person can get an indication of how effectively their body is recovered and what level of training intensity is most productive, ultimately letting your heart choose the intensity you need to pursue each day.
These tools help you to maintain intensity optimal for reaching your goal, whether it is strength, endurance, stamina, power, well being and particularly weight management. When we over train or under train we throw our body out of balance and this leads to metabolic problems that make it difficult to maintain a healthy weight, such as excess cortisol levels in the blood.
